You (and your clients) can now add secondary coverage. You can also submit claims to secondary payers after the primary processes. In the next 1-2 weeks, we'll also automate the creation of secondary claims when reconciling the primary claim ERA/EOB.

When I initially brought up this, the first customer service rep was under the impression that primary insurance claims automatically submitted to the secondary insurance. For technicians working on this issue, THIS IS NOT THE CASE. Yes, in certain circumstances with Medicare/Medicaid (such as their Dual Complete Plan), this can occur. However, many clients have a primary insurance and secondary insurance that are not connected as well (such as Primary UBH and Secondary BCBS). As it stands now, there is no way to submit these secondary claims. This either results in a financial barrier on clients (many of which are youth and young adults who rely on the secondary insurance to cover what the primary does not) or can result in thousands lost for the therapist's income. This needs addressed ASAP, as a client with a primary and secondary insurance is NOT uncommon.

Ruby Nightingale: we are working on this. If you're willing, I'd love to connect briefly to make sure what we're planning will work well for you. I'll send an email now.
